Unsung Heroes 1898 takes you back to the Spanish-American War, a war covered in deception, sensational journalism, suppression, and the blood of those who fought for their country. Experience the major land battles of the war in the Cuban campaign. Fight on large-scale maps, with non-linear objectives and countless ways to play.

Fight As Anyone

In Unsung Heroes 1898, every soldier, commanding officer, and artillery personnel can be played. With a tap of a button, you can switch at any time and play as whoever you want on the battlefield. Each military unit has their own gameplay quirks, benefits, and disadvantages. To be victorious in battle requires doing a little bit of everything.

Open Ended Battles

Every map is free for you to explore, discover, and fight in. Each map is large in size, contains numerous objectives, and is littered with troops, some friendly and some not. With the ability to choose battle strategies and command troops at an individual level, you are given a great deal of autonomy in planning how to win battles. Just remember to not get too comfortable, lest you want to end things defeated.

Relive & Rewrite History

All weapons, maps, and characters are represented faithfully to their historical, real life counterparts. Rewrite history by playing the various battles of the war or take things at a slower level by perusing through the war museum. Unsung Heroes 1898 gives you the ability to see the Spanish American War from a lens never seen before in any other medium.

Unsung Heroes 1898 is an Early Access title. The game features 3 firearms, 2 artillery weapons, and 3 maps. More content will be added throughout Early Access development, much of which will come from the guidance of community feedback.
